Corner to corner

The days and nights are getting noticeably cooler as we edge ever closer to Winter ❄ Time to get out that unfinished rug from last season and get some more rows happening (and keep my knees warm at the same time).

I love making crocheted corner to corner rugs and the one I've started to make from our Patons Sierra 8ply yarn would have to be one of my favourites. This stunning, self patterning yarn does most of the work. The colourway I'm using is called "Nevada" with rich blues, golds and reds. I started this one in the shop as a sample piece for the old Cooroy Drapery. It's now a little under a metre along the straight edge and I plan to make it a little bigger yet.

One of the great things about making the C2C is that you can stop once you've used half your yarn and you know it will take the same amount to finish the second half! You'll find links to some free patterns on Ravelry for the corner to corner rug here by searching corner to corner tutorial.
